Hey Whidbey Island...I see you!
You're prepping the freezer meals and finishing up the nursery and folding all the tiny clothes...but are you prepping yourself?
That's where I come in!
From the first time we meet until your baby is born, we'll talk about how to prepare your mind, body, and soul for the epic work of labor and delivery. Maybe you're in to yoga and meditation. Maybe you're a runner who wants to stay active. Maybe you just need someone to bounce ideas, questions, and worries off. Whatever your vibe, we'll work together to get you ready!
As your doula, I want you to feel like you made informed, empowered, and respected choices and that you felt in control of your birth story from start to finish! The decisions you make throughout the course of your pregnancy and delivery can inform the way you feel as a parent to your new baby. The more confident you feel in these moments will only serve to make you more secure in your choices going forward.
As your birth photographer, I'll take the pressure off you and your partner by capturing all the raw and beautiful moments of your birth day. Photos of your birth are something you'll be able to share with your friends and family for years to come! And seeing the moments that brought your baby earth-side can be a powerful reminder of the bad-ass and capable parent you are!
The story is yours to write; let's make it one you can't wait to share!

Nice Things Some People Have Said About Me...
I am SO HAPPY we chose to have a doula involved in the birth of our second son in Japan. You want someone in your corner who you can be your most authentic self with, and I found that in Micah. She was a resource for information, an emotional sounding board, and cheerleader rolled into one person. Having Micah there strengthened the amazing connection between my husband and I. She was supportive, compassionate, an advocate, and basically a labor & delivery encyclopedia! I’d highly recommend her to other mamas for an informed, supported and empowered birth experience.

She was so easy to communicate with and provided me such essential support services before, during, and after my birth experience that helped keep me prepared and confident that I was being looked after. She was calm, cool, and knowledgeable while also navigating what I wanted and what changes needed to be made as I progressed in labor.
